Why we exist
WCAG was written in 1999 because assistive tech could only parse HTML literally. That’s why your dev team adds alt text, semantic HTML, keyboard handlers — all to feed dumb screen readers.
A 2026 multimodal AI can do more than parse HTML literally: it can adapt a page for the individual reader who turns the agent on, and it can find the real barriers a site owner needs to fix. So we report the truth about a site honestly, help end users directly, and — soon — fix issues at the source (a PR to your repo or a change through your CMS, verified by re-scan).
